Validating project

I've just redone the simple torts project on the tools, but just like yesterday, I can't get it to validate. I've clicked on Tools, validate but nothing happens. I have one project with two blueprints

What am i doing wrong? Do I need to do this before I pack and deploy or should I pack the project first?

You don't need to validate the project. The validation code in the tools is probably now out of sync with the actual server code (I'll need to check this) but the server performs more in depth tests when trying to install projects, so pay attention to those over the tool's
