Hi there,

I have started to dabble with variables within documents that are sent to the firms.

I have found that with documents that are already loaded into the blueprint the variables work; but when I add the same document that is in the blueprint via the "staff resources" as a new document, I see the variable as a string.

Is it possible for teachers to upload documents with variables into a running simulation or do all documents that require variables have to be loaded into the blueprint (ie before the sim starts)?

At this moment in time variables have to be put in beforehand.

The "upload" staff tool won't parse uploaded files to do any replacement (mainly because we were expecting Staff to be uploading Word documents at this point)

You *can* get around this by uploading a "new resource" in to the simulation's underlying blueprint (via the Manage Blueprints page), this then would make it available to be sent via the "Send Document" staff tool.
